Another Friday

So here we are, facing another weekend.
To many of us, Friday leads to another workday called Saturday. That's the condition I find myself in tonight. I'll be off to work as soon as I push the "Publish Post" button below.

Sara Jean is off to Chicago to visit family. I'll be eating leftover pizza, leftover bratwursts, and cold fried chicken for a couple days, and for me that is FINE FARE!

What's goin' on in your life?

My daughter and son-in-law are here this weekend from Greenwood helping me to landscape around my house. We started at 8:00 this morning and quit around 5:00. I am pooped! I had a lot of plants in a landscaped area on the lot next to the lot my house sits on. I'm wanting to sell the extra lot. So today we moved most of the plants from the extra lot to the lot my house sits on. It's really looking nice. My son-in-law is very good at landscaping. I can hardly wait until morning so we can start again!!!

We drove past your neighborhood on the way to Ft. Knox last weekend. We hadn't heard from you in so long we didn't know whether or not you were in "The Big F", so we didn't give it a second thought. Wish we had known you were home, and not in Virginia. We could have met you at Wendy's for a bite.
We haven't had an update on the pup you got some time back.
How's that goin'?

Well, it's going fine! She's a beautiful dog - very well mannered. When my youngest got married in May, I gave Dixie to her and her husband. He built a house on 15 acres so Dixie has lots of room now to run. She's as happy as can be. When I go over there she runs to the car to meet me. I miss having her here; but, as you know, I go to Virginia a lot and it's now fair to her to have to put her in a kinnel so often. How's your puppy?
The next time you're in this area give me a call. I'd love to see you and Sara Jean.

Here at the Clayton ranch we are doing great. Business is keeping us busy, doing a lot of remodels.. My neice Julie is doing really good. She got the tubes taken out yesterday and starts chemo in 2 more weeks.
My son Rob has been in Missouri for the last 4 months and finished with his officers training, now he is a 2nd Let. I asked him if I could still call him Robbie??
His family has been living with us for over a year now and since he has returned they are looking for a house. Yea! Don't get me wrong, I love my son but 2 women in one house when she thinks I'm her maid and cook, is just not my ideal situation. I've not discouraged them at all from moving.
This week end Rob is in North Vernon for his monthly duty. Its quite around here and Tracy & I are loving it.
That's about it for our place.
Hope everyone is enjoying this nice weather we have here in Indiana. I like it but then it reminds me that winter is around the corner, which I HATE WINTER.
See ya all soon.

Goes without saying but needs to be said every chance we get, Carol...
Thank Rob for putting himself at risk...
For taking on a task that puts others first.
Tell him how much we appreciate him.

Carol,
Good to hear that your neice is doing better. I've been thinking about her. Thanks for letting us in on her progress. Tell Rob we're proud him.

Clint and I have been packing for my 93 year-old uncle to move back to California. A neice of his came out from CA to help us--bless her heart, she is a saint. GEEEEZZ, talk about work. He was my Aunt Kathy's husband and since she died in 2001 there have been 4 young women who have charmed him out of about $100,000. He fell last month and broke his hip and two of these "ladies" have still hung around trying to hang in there for more cash. I got him and his neice from CA tickets to leave IN next Friday. Please pray he stays well enough for this trip. Since his neice is on California time, we don't get packing started until about noon and work until midnight or 1:00 p.m. I'M POOPED!!!!

Love to all,
Bo

Bo-
With all the taking care of others you've had to do over the last years, I sincerely hope you are taking care of #1 as well. If you don't, you won't long be able to take care of others.
Thank you, and God Bless you for your caring. When you can, get some sleep and recharge!

Hello to all. Things around here have been really hectic for some time. Shifty got hurt at work in July. As you know he runs a Sand & Gravel business. Doesn't sound like it could be a dangerous job but really it is. There is alway the possibility of injury with the heavy equipment, deep water, etc. He has done this for 30+ years and I have always had a fear that he would fall in the water (he doesn't swin a lick and doesn't even float.) Well, in July he was working around the plant where there is a water flow to the plant and the ground broke away and his leg went down and he fell. He tore the linaments away in his leg.

Spent time at hospital, then Ortho Surgeon. In the process of the tests they found that aside from the injury he is retaining water in his legs and ankles. Since Congestive Heart Failure runs in his family they have referred him on to Heart Specialists for further testing. Waiting now on those reports. He had put on a lot of weight and this could explain a lot. They put him on new Blood Pressure medicine that also helps him to dispell water. He is lookin good from getting rid of the excess water. (Doesn't look like the Pillsbury Dough boy anymore.)

Then I have been going through a battery of tests. I staarted having bad head aches, nausia, tiredness etc. and went from a size 8 to a size 4 in three months. Been back and forther from one doctor to another, hospital for one test after another. Can't find out what it causing everything. Guess stess is a big factor.

Plus all the years of sun worshiping caught up with me and had a skin cancer removed.

My business is going crazy, (that's a good thing) then we had a lot of damage from a storm and some (BIG) trees came down and did over $4000 in damage to fencing. Going to have plenty of wood for the bond fire this year.

Speaking of which, ABOUT THE OCTOBE MINI. How does October 25th sound? Please give me some feed back as soon as possible on the date. Talked to Steve this week end about the date. Good for him - how about all of you guys?

I am not going to send out a bunch of invitations this year and spend hours calling. Seems like we have a "regular gang" every year so will just concentrate on contacting those and let "word of mouth" from all of you help out there.

Looking forward to seeing a bunch of you at the October Fest. Shifty and I are planning on attending plus the Brunch on Sunday.

Hope to have feed back on the date for the mini as soon as possible.
