We are in Mesa, AZ.
Son David is conducting a little business and visiting friends he made while he lived here. (We're visiting a few too.)
As I write this, it is 102F. outside the door of our Hotel.
And it is tolerable.
We had 100 degree+ temps in Southern Illinois just before we flew Westward.
That was NOT tolerable.
Yes, the difference is obviously the relative humidity.
Lakes Meade and Powell are at scary (low) levels, considering the intake/outgo equation.
I begged our son to move East some six years ago.
I DO NOT regret that prodding.
