Just emailed Harry to make sure we hadn't hung him out high and dry with fees for the day of fishing. Our Captain for the FF will be one of Harry's friends, and he's not asking for anything up front from Harry. We'll be heading out early on the morning of Friday, the 4th.
Harry virtually guarantees we'll catch fish...
He's figuring we'll catch Grouper and Red Snapper, which the deck hand will clean for us. Harry's gonna bring a fryer so we can cook up what we've caught when we get back to the condo.
Harry has me hoping this will not be a repeat of last year's Galveston results!

Grouper and Snapper! Both great eating... Get your cranking arm in shape for the grouper - the big ones really pull. This sounds like a really great time - Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Also looking forward to seeing Joker. Has it really been 40+ years? Why don't you spend at least a couple of days or better yet - the whole week with us? Same with you - H and C - spend more than just a day or two with us. See ya all soon!
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the DDFF, however, there is a slight chance I may not be able to make it. If I do go, I'll be staying with my daughter who lives in Ft Walton Beach, but as of right now she is looking into changing jobs and moving to Charleston SC. Don't know how soon that will be and I really don't want her to move, but of course it's her choice. I'll have to wait and see and let you know.
Thanks for the DDFF Update! I'd better get my motion sickness drugs packed! If we don't troll, I can be in big trouble...UCK! I don't want to subject anyone to my "over-the-side" antics! Pray for a calm day!!!!
GB-This will NOT be like last year's "Texas No-Hold Um"...ha! The Captain's got the numbers, got the holes and the fish will be there, and they should be plenty hungry! Grouper and Snapper are a lot of fun to catch and more fun to eat! HB will be sooooo happy that he doesn't have to stand in the sun for hours at a "cleaning table"!!! This is going to be such luxury for my Captain and me too.
I need to ask H, if he wants me to bring a gallon of peanut oil for frying. It's not the healthiest...but it sure tastes the best!

Everybody pray that my Mom stays well and lots of VK's get to come to the DDFF.
Are John T and Barb going? Better take them, GB. Especially since he's the only one who has a track record for catching fish!
I sure hope you take plenty of pictures to share,,, of the classmates, not the fish. ;))
BTW, has anyone heard from Hawkeye and Hotlips? Did he get lost again?
