Yesterday, I watched the Ellen Degeneres show; HC was on and I'm sure they discussed beforehand what they were gonna talk about on the show. Ellen flat out asked her if she supported gay marriage and HC said "NO, she does not". I thought that was a bold statement, and I respect HC for her views and as someone not afraid to state her views AND stick to them. Ellen did not seem offended at all.
So many politians will give the answer that they think you want to here. Anyhow, HC went on to explain why she does not support gay marriage. I'm not getting into politics here, believe me, I was just amazed at her answer. I was ready for her to slide around the issue and avoiding giving a direct answer, and she did not! She stuck to her guns. Good job, HC.
Please don't be offended Joker, but it's difficult to discuss politics without discussing politics, isn't it? ;>) There are many things I admire about the woman. For whatever reason, she did stay with that man, and I think she might have been better off leaving him. I still think she has a beautiful face. She is very, very intelligent and she can think "on the run". And if she had been a candidate in the '04 election, I think she just might have won. And as Forrest would say, "That's all I'm gonna say about that."
I'm not offended. I just want to make sure you understand what I am saying: I was only relating an incident I saw on TV, but it in no way reflects my views. I like Hillary Clinton, too, but I do NOT agree with everything she says. However, I do like the fact that she is not afraid to state her views without skirting the issues. Maybe she doesn't always do that, not sure. So, you're right...it is difficult to discuss politics without discussing politics. Ok, I'm done.
