passing of an upper classman

I just read in the paper today that Fred Kuntz (1964 CG grad) passed away on Tuesday, Jan 29. He was 61. I do not know the cause of death.
I knew of Fred Kuntz in HS, but only in passing. When I moved to Whiteland in the the late 80's, Fred and his wife Connie lived directly across the street from us.

Joker,

Always sad to hear of a fellow Trojan passing away. Like you, I knew of Fred but that was about the extent of it. I am sorry for his Family's loss.

If I remember, Fred played trombone in band. Always seemed to be a nice kid to me; so sorry to hear that he died.

I knew both Fred and his older brother Richard through my friendship with Bill F.
Fred was a gentle soul... always had a smile to offer.
My memory of Richard now leads me to think of Ricardo Montalban... he was a tough, good lookin' guy, and I was glad to be on his good side.
I hope the family has good memories to share.
Are we sure of the spelling... Kuntz?

Fred Kunz died Jan. 29 2008. John T. told me Fred had been sick. A co-worker that lives in Whiteland said Fred found out that he had a brain tumor first part of Nov. Like GB I got to know Fred running around with Bill F. (where's Willie ?) The news paper also said that a brother James, class of '61, had preceded him in death.
I was talking to Rick P. Class of ‘65, a few weeks ago and he told me that Steve Bray, class of '64, had passed sometime in 2007.
On the teacher's list add Mr.William Porter. He died a few months before Mr. Vandermeer.

Don't worry about yesterday and don't worry about tomorrow. We never know what's ahead, so take time to enjoy this day to it's fullest. I have to remind myself of this on a daily basis. Not preaching, just wanted to share.

Thanks Hawk for the info. on Steve B.
Anyone who roamed the Valley knew Steve... he was a real buddy, and was one of the most naturally funny people I ever knew. He did the best "Jose Jiminez" imitation I ever heard.
I walked from our house on Morgantown Road down through the Valley to the bridge over the creek back in '78 or so, to see how things had changed. As we passed by Steve's old house he came out of one of the duplexes built near his old home, and we stood in the middle of the street and talked at some length... same old Steve.
I'm sure sorry to hear he's gone.
