Vks At the Indy Irish Festival

Update: TPO's Daughter will be performing Saturday -4:00pm on the O'Brien Stage! Those of you who can join us on Saturday - let's meet at this stage @ 1:30pm. Someone should be able to direct you to the O'Brien Stage. We can go from there and just plan on being back at the stage by 4:00. If all else fails - call and we can meet up that way. Remember - 1:30 pm Sat. Sept. 20th. at the O'Brien Stage...

If you would like a preview, TPO says "She is doing a live TV bit on Channel 59 next Thursday morning at 7:30 or 7:40. Then early morning on Saturday (don't know the time yet)."

In Sept. 07, a few VKs decided that in Sept. 08, we would get together and go to the IrishFest in Indianapolis. One of our own VandysKids has been involved with the IrishFest for years. From a very good source, it was a smashing success last year. Great entertainment and good food! TPO - Will you be there again this year?

Check out the website: http://www.indyirishfest.com/ Lots of good information and a map. Go there to view a short video of some of last year’s activities.

September 19th. through the 21st. Let us know if you plan to attend. Maybe we can enjoy this together. It will be fun.

It's Not Nice To Fool With Mother Nature

Remember that house?
That, and other pictures are all
here.
That home may not exist in 24 hours, and that's a sad thought.
I'm happy "Tools" isn't worrying about his home, but nevertheless upset that a place that served well to provide four of us great memories may be destroyed by hurricane Ike.

I hate to open a Friday forum on that note, but I'm in Del Rio, Texas, on a borrowed computer, having run here with the company's $3 million dollar machine to protect it from the tornadoes that are bound to be spun off by Ike.

Talk amongst yourselves...
I'll be eavesdropping when I can!

Another Friday

So here we are, facing another weekend.
To many of us, Friday leads to another workday called Saturday. That's the condition I find myself in tonight. I'll be off to work as soon as I push the "Publish Post" button below.

Sara Jean is off to Chicago to visit family. I'll be eating leftover pizza, leftover bratwursts, and cold fried chicken for a couple days, and for me that is FINE FARE!

What's goin' on in your life?
