Diary of a snow shoveler . . . .

If you want a really good laugh,
take a few minutes and check out this web site.
It has music and animation.
I first read it in 1976 and found it again on the internet posted in 2005.

Man does this bring back memories!

One year we were in Cincinnati where it was sleeting, snowing and about 6 in. of snow already on the ground. Clint wanted to drive on home, even though we were the one vehicle on I-70...the semi trucks had given up; but not Clint! (He didn't want to spend $$ for a motel) The closer to Indy we got the worse the roads were...at least we had the whole highway to ourselves; all four lanes were empty except for us.

We got home and couldn't get in our driveway. There was about 3-4 inches of ice with about 8 inches of snow on top. Next morning we went out to clear the drive. We chopped ice and shoveled snow for about an hour. I suggested we hire one of the big snow plows coming by the house; well, you know the answer to that! NOoooo, don't spend the $$. Well, I didn't hear that I guess (you aren't surprised are you?). I jumped out in front of the next snow plow that came by and begged him to clear our driveway. Thank the Good Lord he did. I think I would have paid him $1,000. I was so tired. Clint was happy after all...he made a friend with the snowplow guy (I really think he was secretly relieved the snowplow guy came along).

That's my story...I bet you all have one of your own!

Love,
Bo

Joker, Funny, not so funny! But, it's so true. Felt that way many times myself and we have very little snow to contend with - compared to others. If you would to move - for you - where would that 'ideal' place be? Consider everything...

Was listening to WIBC yesterday and Radio Guy Dave Wilson mentioned that he had worked as a stand up comic one year at a resort on St. Marten. Before moving down there, he thought it would be an ideal place. After 3weeks, he was going a stir crazy and couldn't wait for his contract to end...

Not surprised about Dave Wilson...there's not enough room for him in St. Marten! Love that guy and hope he stays in Indy.

I guess I'm a Hoosier through and through...love the west to visit but it's not home. I do miss the farms we used to have here in WRT.

P.S. TwoDogs, you've worked too many hours...I'm not Joker.

Joker's post, Bo...
And Clint is probably cut from the same cloth as me. I still pick up every penny I spy... thinking if I can just put 100 of them together I'll have folding money!

GB, I believe you are correct. Dear Clint saves every cent he can.
I mouth off occasionally and say, "The King is in his Counting House, counting out his money...the Queen is in the Parlor eating Bread and Honey."

We ain't rich but we can pay the bills thanks to Clint...I, however, would be a bag lady! HAH!!

TwoDogs, I am so sorry I accused you of working to much....I forgot that it was Joker's post. I have the IQ of a peanut.
