Patsy, (or someone) mentioned Edna Fowler and Pat Jolly for the memorial. I vividly remember Edna Fowler's death because her body was found near the home of family friends.
I also remember how shocked we all were at Pat's death, because, as I recall, she was a strong swimmer and it was so odd for her to drown.
I have no idea what year these folks graduated/would have graduated.
Help, someone!
I remember quite well when Lydia Edna Fowler was murdered. We had just passed over the bridge that Sat. morning on the way to dance class and there were police everywhere. I don't know if they ever solved it and it has bothered me all these years. I think she was several years older than us, maybe about 58-61 class. She lived in B'ville then and she had the nicest parents.
As for Pat, I believe she was younger than us. I always thought she was so good in sports, especially softball. I know, I had played against her in league.
Patsy, aka: FLygirl...Had to chang my identity due to my stupidity!!!
Pat Jolly graduated in 1959, I think. She was a year older than my sister, Shirley, who graduated in 1960. And Pat was very, very athletic and her drowning was a hugh suprise to everyone who knew her!!
I think that Edna Fowler's homocide should be opened up by the "Cold Case" team!!!
What a terrible thing to happen to such a young, small-town girl. I think she rode the bus into Indianapolis one day (or evening) and never made it back to B'ville.
It's too bad the case was never solved!!
I hate to sound like the Morbid Lady, but I've added Randy's name to the Memorial List.
Another very sad story from the "way back" machine.
