9:03

Did you enjoy Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone"?

If so, I'd like you to devote five minutes of your time to an audio drama my son wrote, produced, directed, recorded, (complete with adding sound effects), and played in.

He's graduating with a Degree in Communications/Radio-TV in December, and this was a class project. Those of you that come and read my personal blog may have already heard it. It's told from the perspective of a tape recorder in the office of a group of telemarketers.

My son calls it 9:03.

Very Good. Very Chilling. The mundane and the earth shattering all at once. Mix it all together and what do you have? An easy answer to that question could be "Here one minute - Gone the next!" Or "Life goes on." Although appropriate sometimes - they don't quite fit here. Most times, Life is not that easy. More questions - Should they have even looked out that window? Should we??? I, for one, like to know what's coming. Even then, you do not know what may be coming around the bend. Is life as simple as looking out the window to see what may be headed your way? Sometimes, I wish it were that simple - but, it is not...We didn't see 9/11 coming. Or did we?????

Several lessons here. One very important one would be - Make sure that you tell your loved ones that you love them - often.

"9:03" is very thought provoking. So much so that I am sure that I could spend way too much time trying to put all of my thoughts about it down here - so I won't.....

Lots of questions - I wish I knew the answers.

That was good. I'm like twodogs, a lot of questions but do we really want to know the answers? Let's just pray that we never have to go through another 911 or any thing like it.

I was in Tennessee when this happened and I'll not forget the horific feeling I had. Driving back home was very eerie, not much traffic and no planes in the sky. I was scared to cross over the birdge in Louisville, thinking it may blow up.

I remember feeling how proud I was of the people on the plane that took some of their control back and saved many other lives. I think of our class and I feel that each of us would have done the same thing. We are a very strong generation.
