CLASS SPONSORS

We have been having a great time reconnecting with each other on these past months.
It is great to hear from each and every one but has anyone an update on our class sponsors?
Maybe, they would enjoy hearing how their wonderful class turned out and join us for some wonderful sage advice.

Ummm....
Now it's a twofer...
I had a lapful of at least one Varsity cheerleader, and can't remember whether or not the mission was one lap around Jerry's. And now, like Joker, I cannot for the life of me remember who our sponsors were.
(Joker, you talked about aging... memory is the second thing to fail, right?) ;>)

I'll give 'em this-
they must have been quality folk, because they produced a quality product, right?

So yeah, let's honor 'em!
(GH, if you don't remember who they were, we're in BIG trouble!)

Don DeBoer and was Miss Nancy Hahn the other??

Mr DeBoer sounds right, but I just looked in the 1965 yearbook and there was no Nancy Hahn listed and I don't remember her. My memory has failed and unlike GB, it's the first to fail. :>
In our junior year I think one of our sponsors was Miss Nancy Kivet, English/Lit teacher, (who married and became Mrs Almond) but she was not at CG our senior year.
I'm clueless, as usual...

It’s a real chuckle watching our upperclassmen aging gracefully(???). Particularly, after the way that you guys picked on us in High School.

This almost sounds like a scene from “On Golden Pond”. “We’d like to honor our sponsors if we could only remember who they were.” (Insert ear to ear grin)

Ginseng guys, more ginseng.

Btw: Your Junior year sponsors were Nancy Kivett and Don DeBoer.

Up, Down..
Your second paragraph is hysterical. I'm gonna be laughing about that all night.

Soooo...since you seem to be in the know, who was our sponsors in our senior year.

I FOUND IT.

Ok, our senior sponsors were Mr. DeBoer and Miss Jane Reasoner.
I sure don't remember her, but that's what is says in our yearbook.

I am so glad that senior moments don't hit us all.
Thanks so much for the answers.
Don''t you just love these trivia questions?
As for the Golden Pond quip..I don't remember receiving any royalties for that, do you?
Come on Up, Down, some more cute notes from our past, it seems we can't remember them. Thank goodness you took notes for us oldies.
Are you sure we gave you guys grief? Our class was the empitome every high school principal dreams of having.
Todays question is: How many kids would it take to fill the pump merry go round?

Maybe it was part grief and part just following your class. How many times did we hear “last year’s class didn’t ____________” (fill in the blank). It was like having a big brother who was All-State or something.

Anyhow, sorry if I offended anyone, I just got to laughing as I read all of those “I can’t remember” messages and had to pitch out a little zinger.

Jane Reasoner was the English teacher that we called Peaches. She was fresh out of college so not quite as prim as some of the other teachers.

"Like having a brother who was All-State or something"...

I'm supposed to be offended by that?
I'm surprised you don't hate us, Up-Down!

And Ginseng?
Isn't that for sexual prowess?
(Writing the word down so I don't quickly forget it...)

I seem to remember something about Gingko Biloba...
Now if I can just remember where I stored that bottle!

Good to read your posts, Up, Down!! TOO funny!!

Yep, we were (are) perfect in every way. Humble too. ;)

Ya know, there are a BUNCH of '66 grads on that other web site, GB. I vote that you invite them to blog with us. (I’m having trouble posting over there)

Maybe they will post and add to the merriment now that UP/Down has broken the ice ??

Ginseng, huh? Well, why not. It just might work! On the other hand, it may just help me forget faster!

Good idea, PT.
Done.

Up

No offense taken at all, your notes are a bright ray of light.
glad you could join us.
I am sorry our class left such big shoes to fill though.
Not to worry, we heard the very same words about the class in front of us.

PT
A great idea, I think an invitation would be very nice.
