IT WAS GREAT !!!!!

Well, guys we can make another entry into our archives
of the Class of 65 Fond Memories.

The Annual October Mini of 2007 is now a memory. It was
so wonderful to welcome all of you into our home once again.
Each year (it's 3 now) we say "this was the best". Well, let
me say again.

THIS WAS THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Carol for getting your pictures posted so quickly.
They really turned out great. I am looking forward to
more coming. I said special prayer's for beautiful
weather for the weekend and my prayer's were
answered. I don't think we could have had a more perfect
weekend for the mini. It was beautiful during the day and
the temperature was just perfect for around the fire.

If anyone would have told me 42 years ago that we would
turn out to be such good cooks I would never have believed
it. WOW, the food was fantastic. DJ, you out did yourself
on the cole slaw again this year. haha.

It was wonderful to have Harry & Carol here from FLA.
It is really something when you can sit on a sofa next to a
classmates wife and look over at her husband and say
"Hey, do you remember when we were boyfriend and
girlfriend in the 7th grade and the wife to get a kick out
of it." I guess that's better than saying when we were
Junior's or Senior's. Then there (might) have been a few
more questions !!!!!!

Anyway, I want to thank all of you for attending. As was
previously stated we have added a new member to our
"group" as an honary member of the class of 65. Welcome
Pam. Look forward to seeing you again next year and hope
hubby is home from the militay and can attend with you.

We had a special honored guest attend this year. Dr. Barne's,
Janet B's mother joined us. It was so wonderful to have her,
I forgot how tiny she is. What could make the day more
special than to have a parent of a classmate attend?

Thanks, Steve for the lovely "pink" scarf's. It was great
to know that in the midst of a weekend set aside for fun
that we could include our support for something as
serious as support of "breast cancer". It just goes to show
how great our class really is and that as we grow older we
learn to appreciate and value our life and health even more.

Shifty and I want to "thank you" for joining us and the
door is always open.

Love to all,
Echo & Shifty

Weather- Perfect.
Location- Extraordinary.
Food- Tempting, Tasty, and TOO MUCH!
Bonfire- What a great place to burn our styrofoam cups and empty plastic water bottles!

Echo and Shifty, we all know how much work is involved in preparation for something like the mini. Please accept our gratitude for your hospitality and for opening your beautiful home to this formation of Trojans. With plenty of comfortable places to spread out and visit, I can't imagine another place being more welcoming.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

GB,
THANKS SO MUCH FROM BOTH OF US.

But you forgot to mention that I did provide masks to protect all of you and the dogs from the fumes.
And you did have your trusty "fire spade" to sift everything around to be sure the fumes were evenly distributed.

Echo and Shifty thanks so much it was a wonderful evening. Its so great to see everyone. The fire was great as usual. Fireboy GB did a great job with the shovel. We did have to report you to the Edinburg fire dept. You smoked out the whole town. Your gas masks were great also. Next stop Texas! Then Hawaii!!! See you all soon.

Echo and Shifty,

Thank you for hosting this annual gathering. The food, as always, was fantastic. As usual, each gathering seems to outdo the last. This was a great one. The bonfire was fantastic, I'm sorry that you couldn't 'stay by the fire' -Hope that you are doing better! Glad to see a few new faces. Missed those that could not come. Like GB, We cannot imagine a fall without this mini. Thank You both for everything that you do!
