Light My Fire

I think our family called them "Kitchen Matches".
The box they were sold in even used that term, if I'm not mistaken.
I searched for them last week... no dice.
Are they still available?

Ferdy has a new grandbaby on the way.
Sara Jean and I sold our property in Destin, but the new owner is glad to have us reserve our old condo for the Winter months. (It's gonna feel weird, but enjoying it with no responsibilites will be something I can quickly get used to!)
The Kentucky Derby is just around the corner, followed shortly by another racing event, right?!!
Updated:
For those of you who made the Dastardly Destin Fishing Fiasco-
Sara Jean and I just had red beans and rice with andouille sausage, and grilled shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes at "Kenny D's"!
Eat your hearts out.

They're still out there. I still call them kitchen matches and have some in my kitchen drawer.

I'm with Rita, have a box of them in the kitchen cabinet , , , tried to strike some of them last summer and the heads popped off, but did manage to get one lit. Try Wal Mart or Dollar General This years "race" should be a good one. New design and new engines and more to come!

And Ferdy Hi! is good . . . it's better than nothing!

Congrads on selling the Condo, it will be a non-working vacation this time. Hope everyone is well.

GB good luck selling. I agree with your comments world is a mess right now. I'm so thankful I have the 100 Acres in Sweet Owen county. My son and I or working on the farm all the time. Planted more fruit trees, blackberris, raspberries, blueberries and bigger garden. Going to build new barn and fence the front field in for pasture. Will have beef cows, goats, burro and chickens wood burner for heat. Have well water and looking at windmills for electricity. We will be pretty much self sufficient. By the way my last day with Inland next Monday the 30th. Have another job interview today with a new company still leaning toward another company will probably start back to work Middle of May. Everyone take care.

Thanks TC.
Our sale fell apart and the unit is back on the market, so we'll be on the rollercoaster again soon.
I envy you your preparations. When the "stuff" hits the fan, you'll be self-sufficient, and looks like the only thing you'll have to worry about is security. I've been saying all along that I hope I'm wrong about what I see in my crystal ball...
But the situation seems to be unfolding pretty much as I feared.

Interested in starting a commune?
(I'd be GREAT with security!)

Adeline Elizabeth was born yesterday afternoon at 2:39 weighing in at 5lb. 13oz. and 19 1/2" long. She looks just like her mother did at birth. She has thick black hair - partly curly and partly straight. Needless to say, I think she's beautiful! She's my fourth grandchild. My fifth grandchild is due November 15! Life is good!!!
