I was totally into Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Fleetwood Mac, and early 80's groups. Reo Speedwagon, Journey, Some C & W, some, classical, big variety. Some Billy Idol, ELO, Pink Floyd, loved Pink Floyd. Oh yeah, and of course last, but not least, Eagles. Lately, I have been into IL Divo also.
You know you sang along to: "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavor, On the Bedpost Overnight?" (I still know the words by heart, and after a beer (or six) can be coerced into singing it.) Or how about "If Ya Wanta Be Happy For The Rest Of Your Life.....)
As a salute to Ferdy, a couple more country faves: "Drop Kick Me Jesus Through The Goalposts of Life", and "Thank God and Greyhound She's Gone!"
Remember when the Governor banned the radio stations from playing Louie Louie? He thought it was too wicked or sinful or something like that. LOL can't imagine what he would think of rap!
When I was in nurses training I lived next door to 2 girls who played Louie Louie non-stop for a week!
Something happened to their record about that time. Odd isn't it?
GB dances like Joe Cocker?? I look a little bit like Joe Cocker!!
Songs that talk to me are my favorites. Sometime, I even talk back, only when I'm alone, though. Indivuals and groups include - Some Joe Cocker, Jackson Browne, The Boss, Some Meatloaf, Jefferson Starship, Mamas and Papas. Some songs are - California Dreamin - If I Should Fall Behind - Stay - The Load Out - The Road. I also like some of the current (recent past) Broadway Play tunes. Les Miserables ("I dreamed a dream" and "Bring Him Home" and "One More Day" are three of my favorites), The Phantom, Miss Saigon, Joseph, Rent. Also could listen to the music from 1992 - "The Last of the Mohicans" for a long time without getting tired of it.

What would be your choice for the Top 100 songs to listen to while drving long distances?
I think I would start with
1. Great Balls of Fire
2. Good Golly Miss Molly
3. Devil in a Red Dress
4. R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
5. Shout!
What else?
Devil With The Blue Dress?/Jenny Take a Ride (Mitch Ryder)
Twist and Shout
Good Vibrations- (And lots of other Beach Boys tunes)
(Your Love Keeps Liftin' Me),Higher and Higher
She Loves You (And more pre- '68 Beatles stuff.)

And my all time fave:
"If I don't love ya, Baby, grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultry and Mona Lisa was a man"
Now ya just can't beat those lyrics for sincerity, romance and foot stompin' gusto!
I also like "You just sorta stomped on my aorta, ya mashed that sucker flat!"
Gives it a nice medical touch!

Oh, I move with my feelings alright, but my feelings are more like Maxine in the Hallmark cards than the Supremes!
And now that I look in the mirror, I think I know why LOL
"Louie Louie, oh baby, me gotta go. Ya Ya Ya Ya, wella
Louie Louie, oh baby, me gotta go.
A fine little girl, she waits for me.
Me catch the ship across the sea.
I sailed the ship all alone.
I never think I'll make it home.
Louie Louie, me gotta go.
Three nights and days we sailed the sea.
Me think of girl constantly.
On the ship, I dream she there.
I smell the rose in her hair.
Louie Louie, me gotta go.
Me see Jamaican moon above.
It won't be long me see me love.
Me take her in my arms and then
I tell her I never leave again.
Louie Louie, oh baby, I said we gotta go"
Now the question:
Think these are the lyrics on the record?
OH YEAH! I want to hear him sing it AND I want to see him dance to it!
Dance?
Moi?
I dance like Joe Cocker!
Let's see now.....I think I'll be the one shampooing my hair on that date!
