Sick as a dog

My husband is SO very generous! This weekend he decided to share his cold with me. I haven't had a cold in several years but I swear I don't remember it feeling this bad!
If Bird Flu is anything like this, just shoot me now!!

I don’t even feel well enough to BLOG! Now ya gotta know that just ain’t right!

Anyway, I’m just posting this to get sympathy. Here I am at death’s door and my hubby goes on a week-long trip! Okay, it’s for business but STILL! And my cats aren’t concerned. Heck, they aren’t even awake!

I can’t wait until this is over so I can see if breathing is as much fun as I remember. Just a little oxygen would mean SO much!

Poor Baby! Shame on those indifferent cats, and more shame on the Absent Hubby...tsk, tsk.

Doesn't he know that "paybacks" are H - - -?

I don't think you have the Bird Flu, but you might just have the BLOG Flu...SO GET OVER IT!!!

Make sure that you keep warm, keep the fluids going, and keep your chin up! I hope that you have a really good, old movie channel to watch. I find the old black & whites very therapeutic when I'm down.

Watch out for a fever?

We'll all miss your blogging tonight but you'll be back at it before you know it!

Hey PT,
Take care of yourself and get on the mend soon.
And being alone sucks during this time, maybe he will bring you home some surprises.
With this fibro and asthma, I got sick everytime I flew, so I had to do something for the resistence and I started on Chlorella, I swear by it. It builds our immune system and rids us of toxins we get from the foods, environment, etc.
I flew in Sept. and that was the first flight in years, where I didn't become ill.
It is an old Asian, mainly Japanese, supplement made from the sea, totally harmless.
Then I take oxygen drops 3 times daily and I can breath without inhalers. Using both of these supplements, I am now off all the drugs they had me on.
So truck on PT and be back soon.

Here's what I have to say about it

Its a good thing that the Hubby is away for the week. Ferdy and Flygirl seem to think that the cold may stay with you that long. You wouldn't want him to catch it again, Would you ????

Now - Sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite!

TD...

Just read your comment to Sara Jean, and her response:
"Just like a man......worried about another man!"

So, I'm gonna put on my sensitive, caring face and try to score some points with these wonderful gals.....

PT:
I agree with FLY...
Old Black and White movies are the ticket, complete with a big bowl of popcorn, if your stomach will allow.
I recommend Bogart, starting with "Casablanca", then on to "Key Largo" and the others with Lauren Bacall.
As an alternative, I like anything with Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, and Jimmy Stewart.

And remember, "Jack D." is a good addition to your favorite juice. It may not shorten your time illin', but it'll sure make you less uncomfortable during your recovery!

PT - Hope you are feeling better this morning.
Just last weekend, we rented 3 DVDs that were very good. All newly released. 'In Her Shoes' - 'Elizabethtown' and a British movie, 'Seperate Lies' with Emily Watson and Tom Wilkerson. Seems very British (never been there, but, know that you have - Seems to be a bit of the "Stiff Upper Lip" stuff on the personal relationships)and very thought provoking. It has several different levels of love and loyalty.
All 3 are very good. Don't know when we have rented three together that have been this good. Also 'The Constant Gardener' and 'Must Love Dogs' All except Lies and Gardener are feel good type movies. 'In Her Shoes' could be the best! With a cold, it may be easier to watch a movie than read a book Actually, Cindy read the book 'In Her Shoes' and said the movie was better. Very unlike her to think a movie is better than the book.
Get well soon!

Have two desserts with each meal and e-mail me in the morning. You'll feel better before you know it.

Thanks for the sympathy and the good advice. I have taken all of it to heart and am back to my version of normal today.

Last night I woke up soaked in sweat, my heart was racing and I couldn't breath. Then I realized I had a 20 pound cat sleeping on my chest!

Got rid of the cat and the symptoms at the same time!

TD - Hubby is the one who gave me this cold to begin with!
Hawk - too funny! Nothing like ice cream to tame a fever!

Thanks a bunch, everyone!
