This is my youngest brother's son, TJ Shirrell. He is Iraq now on his second tour there. Lets keep him and all our troops in our prayers. One of my sons just returned from Iraq in December.

Promotion to E-5 is a biggee....

He was promoted last week to SGT. He sent me some more pictures last night. One of the pictures was with his shirt off and he had several marks on his shoulders and chest. I don't know if he was trying to tell me something, guessing he was. He is in Bagdag. Its amazing how you listen to what is going on over there so much more when you have your own family there.
God Be with your nephew and all of the others serving in the Middle East.
He's such a handsome young man! I know that you're very proud of him. Our prayers are with him every hour of every day!
You must be proud of your nephew. We will be praying for his and all the others a safe return. Their work will be done some day making the world a better place.
