Chug-a-Lug

Listening to the words now it's hard to believe Coach Colegrove allowed the football team to sing this song on the way to defeating our opponents, but he did.

We have a gorgeous Saturday to enjoy here, but it's still raining North of us and the downhill flow will worsen our problem with almost overflowing riverbeds.
Worse than '93?
I hope not.

Something must be in the air! I was thinking about Mr. Colgrove yesterday. He came to a Homecoming Football game several years ago and we had a nice chat. I was always so afraid of him....do you remember how quiet our Biology Class was? You could hear a pin drop because we heard that he taught at the Boys School before he came to C.G. So I knew he could murder me any day if he chose.

The song is one that certainly "built our character!" and brings back memories....was it sung on the way home too?

As I recall Bo, we were normally worn out, and with a 7-2 record, most of the time content with what we had just accomplished.
On one occasion, Rick P. entertained us by wondering where he was... (he got whacked hard and had a concussion.)
Good memories.

Poor Rick! Thinking about our football games reminds me of watching the films in the auditorium the Monday after with Mr. C. narriating while the film ran....No wonder we were 7-2; if you messed up on the field, everyone watched it on Monday - UGH!

How about that other inspiring song; "99 Bottles of Beer On The Wall"!
