One Fine Day

I thought she was a doll, and hoped she realized how I felt.
When she came to the restaurant I'd go immediately to the jukebox, drop my dime and play this tune. She came three times...

I played this song for her each time.

The fourth time she came, before she sat down she dropped her own dime in the jukebox and sent me a message by playing "One Fine Day" by the Chiffons.
For me that truly was a fine day!

As Yogi Berra said, "It's deja vu all over again"! GB's got another secret girlfriend.

I suffer from the same malady, The older I get, the better I was!

How odd.
The older I get, the more compassionate I am.
Interesting how we all age differently isn't it?

Aw, GB, you have always been kind and compassionate; AND YOU SURE CAN KEEP A SECRET!

One of my favorites! Also, most anything from Little Anthony and the Imperials. A dime and a jukebox. Bee Hive or Frost Top? Another redhead? And, Bo, Yogi was also a favorite of mine. Aspired to be just like him as I grew up.. We spoke the same language!

What happened? Life got in the way! And I wasn't as good a catcher as I thought I was....

TC - still doing OK???? If not, consider backing off that heavy workload.. Sharon, Make sure that his stress level stays low. Nothing too demanding!

Hey, do you remember "It's Pony Time"? It was a real mover. I could probably dance the pony for about 30 seconds right now.

Top Cat, do you and Sharon dance? That might be great exercise but my Clint won't dance with me.

I know TwoDogs is a real mover and groover like GreyBeard!

Frostop this time, TD.
Blonde, and I'm not sure you knew her.

And Bo, you are very kind, but there are a few events from H.S. I wish I could go back and change.

Keeping a secret?
Remember how quickly gossip traveled back then?
I learned a lesson early and never forgot!

Doing great. No problems so far. Working out three mornings a week. Played golf last Thursday and getting ready to play this evening. Went fishing Sunday evening and going Thursday evening. So I'm getting back in the groove. Is there a group still going to the Irish Feast 9-20-08? Speaking of the Frostop Sharon use to be a carhop there. You'll have to ask her when she spilled a chocolate shake in some guys lap.GB thought of you when I was in the hospital. The first night they put and IV shunt in my arm which they have much difficulty finding my veins. When I took my stress tests a couple of days later as they were unhooking my IV the shunt came out. So that night they were trying to put a new one back in. When the seventh nurse came in and dug around she finally said I'll try your thumb. She was an older gal and said she learned to do that in Viet Nam. The thumb really hurt then she told me if that didn't work she knew where a big vein was. I politely crossed my legs and said the thumb would be fine. The next day another nurse came in and said the thumb wouldn't be good enough so she dug around in my wrist and finally got one in. Just thankful they didn't have to do the other. I didn't want to tell them that would be hard to find to. See you all soon.

TC, That's funny! What makes you think they couldn't find it? They found your thumb, didn't they?

Golfing, fishing - pretty stressful stuff... Anyhow - I'm glad that you are doing OK.

Yes, TPO's daughter will be dancing Saturday and we want to see that - so it's Saturday 9/20 for us. As I understand it, not everyone can go on Saturday, so we thought that we could all get together for a Sunday breakfast somewhere. Just have to figure out the logistics.

Okay TC, tell me this...
What about poking around your body causing you pain made you think of me?

Relax a moment and visualize this:
We're on the porch at Ford Island overlooking Pearl Harbor, you with a Diet Coke and me with my 2nd/3rd/4th? cup of Kona in hand. The sun is coming up to our right, and all is well with the world.
When you think of me, that's the memory I want popping up!

And this reference to thumbs is REALLY embarrassing...
I have Sara Jean thinking "pinkie finger".
Shut up with the thumb talk!

OMG you guys, I thought it had to do with shoe size, now I am confused.
Shame on you for confusing a young, innocent little wahine.

GB..I think the vision I will remember of you, is when you found out, you could go inside that sub. Your eyes were about the size of silver dollars. Or when you stood with all the veterans at the luau. Yeah, that is what I remember.

TD, I am not sure, but is TC really talking about his thumb here? You guys are a hoot.
