It's Friday. Care To Rant?

(First rant... I cannot get "blogger" to print the full picture. Click it to see the whole helicopter.)

Sunday I'm headed West to California. The goal is to sign for and take possession of a helicopter very similar to the one pictured above and start back Eastbound with it as early as possible Monday morning. I hope to spend Monday evening in EL Paso, Texas, then finish the journey Tuesday night by delivering the machine to its new owner in St. Louis. Weather is gonna be a real factor on this trip... it's been raining all across Southern Arizona the past few days. I'm looking at a real cold snap here in the Midwest beginning this weekend and I'm hopeful that'll be long gone by Tuesday. Anyway, those of you that pray need to be prayin' a little for me. If you're uncomfortable praying for me... think kind thoughts, please.

All around me, including me, are mildly sick. I call it "The Gump". Cough, clear throat, sniffle, sneeze, blow nose... repeat as necessary. So far it hasn't kept me away from work, but I've had bad weather here allowing me to grab several hours sleep while on shift, so I've stayed ahead on sleep hours. It's another factor to consider for my helicopter ferry (fairy?) trip... I'd sure like to be WELL by Sunday!

What's up with this "NO SMILE" policy on your driver's licenses back home? Are you fellow Hoosiers gonna take that sitting down?

Enough for me... hope you've got RANTS to RANT.

David, We well say a prayer for you. Keep safe. We are having 70 degree days fog and clouds till noon. I thought no smiles on the drivers license was because of the Indy weather. MERRY CHRISTMAS HF

GB - I'm praying for you to feel better and have a safe trip.

As far as ranting about something, I have nothing to rant about. Things in my life are going well. I just recently decided to quit seeing the gentleman I was dating and replace him with a cat! This arrangement is going much better for me. Life is good.

Hey GB, We'll be thinking of you & saying a prayer. Since you mentioned the "no smile" thing at the BMV I've been thinking about getting my lips injected with silicone so I'll look like
Angelina Jolie!! HA!

Watch the weather. Don't over pedal/steer. Be careful. Come home safe and sound. No, it's not your Mom. It's a just your friends, TwoDogs and Cinders wishing you well and praying for you.

Now, the BMV thing re: no smile pictures. This also has to do with all the cameras that are located at the intersections, along with other things. If this is not thrown out by the courts, I suspect other States will follow. Good/Bad? - that a good question. Will it take criminals off the street? Probably not in and of itself. But it may help the process. Is that the intent? Are there other 'intents'? The real question is - Will it stop there? Just be like me - always smiling on the inside..... I am always smiling - can't do anything about it. Just my happy, smiley personality. The BMV can't take that away from me. Or can they?

Also, We want to Wish Everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. -see- Always smiling!!!!

Prayers are with you as you journey west and back home again safely.

Life is good for me - no complaints. We had our christmas at Thanksgiving time when all the kids were here including the ones from Phoenix, thats why we had Chrismas early.
It does seem a little strange not having to do last minute shopping, but sure is nice not having to go out in the middle of all the crazy madness.
Tracy & I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It appears everyone is too busy to rant, but happy holidays to all.

Family is on the way from out of town, will be here Tuesday......WAIT.........You're right Bo..........it's Tuesday......Just one more week and I could have been ready, with the house all neat and tidy; but I think that's what I was thinking last week too. Not to worry, I'll keep them busy with "last minute adjustments". And I really thought this year would be different. No complaints, horse is fine and buddy (dog) is in control so things are 'normal'. GB, hope the trip went well. Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year to all the Vandy's out there.

Actually DJ, we're just getting started this morning (Tuesday) due to weather issues. Yesterday was, to put it scientifically... yucky.
Hope to make ELP by nightfall or shortly after.
I'll keep ya advised.
Have a great time with family, everyone. Big Bubba is home with Sara Jean, so I'm workin' my way back to them. All is well. except for the geographic separation, and I'm gonna start remedying that today.
More later.

Good Christmas Eve to all!
A bright shiny day dawns in EL Paso, Texas. It's 40 degrees but clear, and the wind ain't so bad. We're looking at a forecast that is MUCH improved over last night's, so I think it'll be possible to make it home shortly after sundown this evening. Christmas Eve in my own bed next to that fine woman would be a wonderful Christmas present!
More later.

Home safely last night... skids touched STL at 8:50 P.M. after 7.5 hours flying. Tired, but smiling and glad to have the job done safely. We had 70 miles visibility and flew the last 2 hours at night to a spectacular view.

Merry Christmas everyone.
We got up before I had to be at work this A.M. and opened a few presents in front of the blazing fireplace... (made for a mighty short night!) But my favorite Christmas present arrived early when Big Bubba came home. All else is incidental.
Be safe and well everyone. Hug your loved ones. Smile. Laugh!

Just got home from having breakfast with my youngest and her husband and going to church with them. My other daughter and her husband will be here later this afternoon. Hopefully, my son and his family will be here next week from Virginia. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
