Just a quicky post so that those of you bustin' with news to share can do so...
I just finished with our annual "Goose Roundup". If you don't know what that is, I'll be back later to explain.
In the meantime, are you one of those that believe Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon are all chatting in another dimension now?
It's nice to think they might be.
More later.

UPDATE:
If you are interested, details on the goose roundup are here, and here.

I missed hearing Farrah Fawcett passed away. When did she die?
Last weekend I went to Kentucky State Park with a group of singles. If you've never been there, you should go. It was very nice. We all had a great time.
AND, today Beth had an ultrasound!!! She's having a boy!! That will make me two grandsons and one granddaughter. I'm going to the doctor with her Tuesday so I can hear the baby's heartbeat. I'm not sure which is the most exciting - hearing the heartbeat or the fact she asked me to go with her.
Ferdy
Never mind! I just now read about Farrah Fawcett in the newspaper.
Ferdy
If your like me, being asked is more exciting.
Yea, The media is so hung up on Michael, Farrah & Ed just got left out. TOO BAD!
Congrats Ferdy! A GRANDSON!
Our Grandson, Will, is now a little over 2 months old. He is starting to smile and is interested in what is going on around him. We have so much fun with him.
I am like you, the being asked is the best. Our kids being independent and older, 32 and 36 pleasantly surprise us to request our presence or advise. OR, to say they thank us for something we did when they were kids that they see helped their life - That was really nice. I am glad I am so old that this happened!Ha Ha....
Mrs. Hawk
Wow Ferdy another little boy. Have they picked out any names yet?
I mentioned some time back that I am going to be a GREAD-GRANDMA in August. We are having a little girl. She is going to be named Ava-Grace Lynn. After two great-great grandmas and ME. That is such an honor.
I lost a little girl and her name was Amanda Ashley. When my son had his first daughter, which is the one having the baby he named her Amanda Ashley after his sister that died. That I thought was a great tribute to her.
Something really odd happened when my grand-daughter was about 5 years old. We was playing with her dolls and out of the blue she said, "Grammy, you know I am really your baby". I said, "yes I know sweetheart you are Grammy's baby". She said, "no, you don't understand Grammy, I really am your baby. I went to heaven before you got to know me and hold me but I am here now and always will be".
This really hit me. She was little and had no idea that I had lost a baby and that she was named after her. To this day Amanda and I have a special bond that even her mom and dad talk about.
Why she said this and where it came from to this day have all of use stumped. When her mom and dad would say she was their baby she would say, "no, I'm Grammy's baby".
