Echo's Annual Mini-

It's that time of year again...
Well, almost. Echo has moved the date of her mini up just a little in hopes of making it easier for more to attend.
The date is 26 September at 2 P.M. (Eastern).

Since it's a pitch-in dinner, in order to insure everyone doesn't bring Aunt Betty's green bean casserole with Durkee's onions,
if you plan to attend she'd like you to RSVP at 317 729-2440, or toll free- 800 974-2441 and let her know what dish you'll be bringing to the table.
(Cheesecake Cissy!)

This event is open to everyone...
Those that attended Center Grove, and those that just wish they had!

In the past we have eaten and visited until dusk, then moved the gathering outside where Shifty always has a big pile of brush and logs for a bon fire. Bring lawn chairs, marshmallows, and a cooler full of whatever beverage tickles your taste buds 'cause visitors around the bon fire have been known to chat into the wee hours. (I'm gonna hide the shovel this year!)

Karen and Shifty's place is just outside Edinburgh folks, and it's not hard to find...
Watch for directions and more information here as the date approaches.

I hope to see ya there!

Durn it...that's the weekend of our big family camp-out at Boggs. I think this weekend is the first weekend all summer that hasn't been taken up by something-or-other. Next weekend is the company picnic at Holiday World. No plans yet for the Sep 18th weekend.

I've got all the ingredients I need to make some mighty fine blueberry cheesecake...or an autumn cheesecake would be perfect for this time of year. I just need for Jupiter to align with Mars.

Look out. She's going to breakout in her best Debtone voice any minute now. Mrs. Meeks would be proud.

"When the moon is in the seventh house"...
My tongue was SO looking forward to some "make ya wanta smack your Grandma" cheesecake! How far out do we need to plan an event to get you guys to attend?
I know...
YOU need to plan a mini, and the rest of us will come!

Hey, I can do that! Are you up to traveling to this one-horse town?

Without question.
As a matter of fact, we have been known to drive up through Petersburg to Washington, then across on 50 through Loogootee to Bedford, then up 37 to wherever we want to go in our old stomping grounds. That may be the route we take to/from Echo's this time. Will you be camping all weekend long? We could have a mini-mini!

Yes, from Friday through Sunday's checkout time! At Boggs, we'll be parked in Red Fox...four? RV/camper rentals next to/across from each other. They can tell you at the gate how to get to the mass Riley campout. That would be a hoot to finally get to meet you.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in following up here with all of you. As you know Shifty and I had planned on attending the Evansville get together but could not make it at the last minute.

As I told you, our brother-in-law (Shifty's sister's husband) had massive heart surgery. I am sorry to inform you here that we lost Johnny last Friday. He never came out of the coma following the surgery. The funeral was yesterday and needless to say a really trying week before.

I did not get invitations (mailed) out this year as I have in the past and was unable to make the personal phone calls. I DID send out (personal) e-mails to all you have attened before as well as anyone I had e-mail addresses for.

Have not had response to many. So any assistance (anyone) can give in getting in touch with everyone would be really appreciated.

Looks like a small group. Here is the RSVP's so far.
TC & Sharon, GB & Sara Jean, DJ, Two Dogs & Cinders, Ferdy.

Please guys try and be here. May not have the kitchen floor mopped and the weeds pulled but a good time still awaits.

Let us hear from you and hope to see all of you on the 26th.

PS. Lucy, Elle can't wait to see you. And GB & Sara your bed awaits.

Love to all
Echo & Shifty

Echo,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your brother in law. I'm sure it's been a hard time for the family. My sympathies to all.

Love,
Bo
