Hello, I am Teresa, Karen's oldest Niece. She had to have surgery to unblock an artery in her left leg, on Tuesday. She became very, very septic and it took her life.
..
I got this post on facebook. This is all I know now. Carol
Karen is going to be buried in London, Kentucky.
If you look on pg. 2 of the '65 Trojan' yearbook - you see Karen and Cheryl. And I'll bet they are visiting with each other right now. And Glen is right there teasing them both.... May God Bless all three.

I can't really express right now the shock of hearing that Karen passed away yesterday. I just received a picture of her on Facebook, in which I thought she was looking so well. If I was in Indiana I certainly would go to London, KY for the funeral service.

I had commented on FB how wonderful she and Larry both looked... tan and healthy, and said "Florida must be agreeing with you both!"
That was yesterday.
Now she's gone?
How terribly sad.
I don't do facebook, so please anyone who has updated info on services etc. please post on VK"S Kids. My thoughts are with Larry and family; will attend if at all possible, but need to know times amd locations. God's blessings to all.

dj, I am trying to find the obituary for Karen. So far, I haven't seen anything in the Daily Journal. She lived in Lakewood Florida area. I'll continue to look; if you find anything please let me know. Thanks BoMarGirl

Karen L. Harris, age 66, wife of Larry Harris of Valiant Drive Lakeland, Florida and formerly of Laurel County passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. She was the mother of Todd Michael Harris of Greenwood, Indiana, the step-mother of Jason Scott Harris, of Franklin, Indiana, and Nicole Delynn Harris of Greenwood, Indiana, the sister of Terry Scrivner of Mooresville, Indiana. Graveside services and burial for Karen L. Harris will be conducted Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with Dr. Terrell Bradley officiating. There will be no visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
