Dan Robbins emailed with the sad news that Richard Allanson died in October.
Richard was a tough competitor on the football team, respected and liked by all who played with him.

Sorry to hear this, it is happening all too often.
Funny, I remember during one of the Big Snows we had while in H.S. I think I had walked down to the IGA "Plaza" and although there was no traffic moving (other than a tractor or two) HERE came a CAR smashing thru the drifts and doing magnificant stunts as it shot back and forth along the road and parking lot. It was Richard in an (we called it and English Ford) stick shift and chains on the tires. Was it a front wheel drive ? ? ? I just remember that I was amazed that he could go thru the snow drifts in that little car. Seems like the transmission went out shortly after that. I ran into Richard a few times after H.S. years . . .he was a good guy. Sorry he has left us . . . at least for now . . .
