I for one am glad May is over with. I had 4 of my grandchildren in the emergency room at hospitals, all at different times. One fell through floor joists on construction site (not one of my sites) Blaze 6 years old, had to have 3 stitches on inside of chin and 8 on the outside. Azariah 12 years old, fell through the back door glass of their home, cut artery, muscle and tendon, ended up with 100 stitches inside and out on her left arm and a few in her leg. Jacob 11 years old, was bitten by a dog, some idiot parent brought her "pet Rottweiler" to school as she was picking up her daughter. Emma 2 years old, decided to put a big marble up her nose and they couldn't get it out so to the ER room she went. We had a death in the family and went to Tennessee for the funeral. My neice (Quimby Shirrell, 26 years old) was rushed to the hospital with chest pains and sever headache. She was near cardiac arrest. She has had Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was 3 years old. Her blood level was near nothing. They think it could be because all the medication she has been on for so long. They finally found blood to give her, she has a rare type. They did a bone marrow biospy to rule out any major diseases, still waiting on results. She is still in the Community South Hospital in the critical care unit. Keep her in your prayers. TJ Shirrell, my nephew, returned from Iraq for a 10 day leave. He returns to Iraq this Tuesday. Keep him in your prayers as with all our troops.

OK - I'm through venting about my problems. The family that lost their 7 family member - Can't imagine what they are going through. The east side has always been a little out of control but this is awlful. Its one thing for adults shooting each other, but to shoot innocent children? These murders should be hung by the necks. I think if we could go back in time with our punishments, which is exactly what they used to did, the crime and murders might decrease a little.

I hope you all have a good June and for myself, I hope its better then May.

Carol - My goodness, I'm so sorry that you and your family have had such a rough May. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you that things will be better for a long while!

Did Quimby Shirrell go to Center Grove to school? I enrolled some of your family in about 1995....very good people by the way and smart too! I think they were one of your brothers' children.

Carol, Here's hoping that June turns out better than May for you. Our Service Men and Women are constantly in my thoughts. I wish that we could bring all of them home. Safe and Sound. But, they are 'over there' doing what needs to be done. We fight in far away places to keep the fight off our shores. Thats a simple way of explaining why we go to war - but, for the most part - it's true.

GB, Naptown is probably not the Naptown that you remember. The problem is not the town - it is the idiots that do not put any value on life. Not even their own. My thoughts are that the guys responsible for that have already lived too long!

Not going to the Alumni Banquet this year. Going fishing with FG and HB. Will miss seeing everyone.

BMG and Ferdy and Max - Go, Have a great time.... See you in Oct.

TwoDogs - Who are FG and HB? Sounds like computer hardware; or Field Goal and Half Back. HA!!! Ferdy and I are looking forward to seeing if we know anyone at the Banquet; and if anyone knows us. Hope you catch some fish.

Quimby did go to Center Grove along with her 2 brothers, a sister and several cousins. Her sister, Leslie Shirrell was on the all star basketball team. She is continuing her basketball in college and again on the all star in Kansas. Lacy Shirrell graduated this year, The Hunter kids, Bunch kids, Williamson kids, Skomp kids & Crump are just a few of the cousins' names that have all graduated from CG. I have another set starting high school this year - the Claytons. Our family has always had someone in CG starting in 1949.
