This is just so sad. I wonder what could have happened to him.

The Daily Journal obituary says he passed away at Johnson Memorial Hospital on Sept. 23. He lived in Bargersville and married Barbara Core (Ricky's sister). His brothers were Charlie and Eugene; sisters Theora Webb and Ameda Sheckles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had been a truck driver. I wonder if he is a cousin to Julene and Bennie.
I think Flygirl would know if Julene and Benny were cousins to Mickey.
p.s. Who of us were in Mrs. Tearman's 4th grade class? I got a call from Georgia (Glenda Kelley Adams) who would like to know. She and her sister Sherry were both in Mrs. Tearman's class. Also Joe Fulmer who moved to Whiteland after 5th grade.

you had Mrs. Erma Parish ( one "r" )in the first grade. I had Mrs. Bonnie Parrish. I think Erma was only there a year or two.

Long time no Blog for me! Been wearing lots of other hats lately and my Blog Hat is on the bottom of the stack! UGH!
Anyway...Sorry to hear about Mickey Kincaid. I think he was a cousin or second cousin to Marie, Julene, Benny, Bulah & Ricky Kincaid. I don't think he was an uncle. Their father, John Bill Kincaid, was not Mickey's brother.
The Webb's & Kincaid's were sort of mixed up... Julene's mother was a Web, Mickey's sister married a Web...regardless, Mickey was a cousin or second cousin, I think.
I'll ask my brother, he will know. He's close in age to Mickey and knew him. I remember Mickey as a really cute, outgoing, funny guy. I do remember thinking he was extremely cute...Ooooh my! But heck, I thought Tony Dow was cute and Don Grady from "My Three Sons"! No telling what Mickey looked like??? Barbara was real cute and outgoing...I think that they made a good pair.
I saw Julene a couple of years ago. She's doing fine. Marie and her husband (from Mooresville) pal around with Celine & Ronnie Bates. Marie & hubby have a condo in Treasure Island, FL...near Tampa. I'm not sure what Benny's doing or Bulah. Ricky (much younger that us) was living in Califoria at one time.
Well, I guess that's the update on the Kincaid Family.

Hawkeye - You are right, my 1st grade teacher was only at CG a year or two; I wish I could find her now. Her husband was the minister at the EUB Church in the old valley.
Also, to you and PT my sincere sympathy for getting Mrs. Tearman. I prayed all summer before 4th grade I wouldn't get her! Glenda told me that when she came home from her first day of fourth grade she was so messed up she got on her pony and rode and cried and cried.
I am so sorry to hear about Mickey. He was a wonderful guy. I had one date with him and he took me to the Shrimp House, Shows what kind of a classy guy he was. Always smiling and having fun, he and FLoyd used to tease me relentlessly.
My heart goes out to Barbara.
As for the 4th grade, I lucked out there, but she used to scare the bejesus out of me on the playground when she was monitor.
Bell rings one day and I was half way up the slide and started back down to save time, as the line was long. She met me at the bottom with a huge swat. Thank goodness for lots of pettycoats. Hated her the rest of the year.
I had Mrs. Linehan in the 4th. really nice lady. Mrs. McKenzie in the 1st. Loved her to pieces and her husband taught there also. But she got PG and left to be a mommie.
I received this message from my brother Floyd:
"There was an unknown tumor on his lung. It burst Sat evening a little after 5:00.
They took him to Franklin hospital and he had basically drowned in his on blood. That's what Barbara told me today. According to Barbara, he went quick with little suffering. He had been having a strange feeling recently, but Barbara couldn't get him to go to a doctor. He had had several problems in the past, including a pace maker and other issues. His heart had stopped while driving back from Louisville a while back.
He was the second one from the class of 61 to die within the last week and half. Jerry Mullinix died Friday before last"
Floyd wanted to know who Golden Horse is? Is this person has the initials of SH - He says Hi.
What happened to Jerry Mullinix ?
I don't have any information on Jerry, if anyone else does, let us know.
I noticed Joe Fulmer's name. He is living in Florida and runs a resort there. He loves it. He also does fishing trips if anyone is interested. I have his email address. Captain Joe.
